About SPA

In 2014, six colleagues formed Saginaw Power & Automation (SPA). Since then, our staff has continued to grow and meet our customers’ needs. We are an electrical and mechanical consulting engineering and services company that employs and develops hard working, technologically talented, and dedicated employees.

We got our start after successfully completing a large pulp mill expansion in the mid-90’s. Then, we were seeking a new challenge, which resulted in developing a multi-state consulting engineering group for an international automation company. After 10+ years of successful projects, we believed the customers could be better served by becoming an independent organization that offered services and solutions with all equipment manufacturers.

Our success is measured by our ability to attract a quality workforce required to satisfy the needs of our customers. We have registered engineers, engineers in training, project managers, field and shop technicians, designers, drafters, and a support team on our staff.
